Every use of AI takes place within fixed quality guidelines, terminology agreements, and clear responsibilities. Technology speeds things up, but people monitor the integrity of the text content.

How does AI⁺ work in practice.
When we receive a new text, we first assess whether it is suitable for AI⁺. We only apply the step-by-step plan below if the content is suitable.
1. Reuse of existing translations
We check our translation memories for each client and language combination. This ensures consistent terminology while saving time and costs.
2. AI pre-translation
We use an advanced AI tool to translate sentences that are not in the translation memory. Combining steps 1 and 2 creates an efficient, consistent and cost-effective pre-translation.

Meticulous quality control by humans.
The pre-translation is thoroughly checked by an experienced, native-speaking translator with proven expertise in the subject matter. This specialist not only assesses the language, but also the coherence of the content and how the text functions within its intended context.
Technology supports the process, but human assessment determines the final quality. Our specialists pay close attention to meaning, nuance, terminology, style, consistency, and cultural accuracy. They make corrections where necessary, refine the wording, and ensure that the translation accurately reflects the intention of the source text.
Depending on the nature and complexity of the source text, we offer three service levels that provide varying degrees of control and content depth to suit the purpose of the communication.

Premium Check
Comprehensive review including style, terminological consistency, company-specific terminology and cultural accuracy.

Specialist Check
Level 1 and 2 reviews are supplemented by an in-depth assessment of the content of specialist texts, technical jargon, and subject-specific nuances.
We draw on our extensive experience to assess the required service level and then present this to the client. The final decision always rests with the client.
Rates and language combinations.
The price of an AI⁺ translation is determined by the service level chosen and the language combination, taking into account the complexity of the text and the linguistic distance between the source and target languages. This results in a fair and transparent pricing structure that reflects the expertise and quality control required.
The language combinations for which AI⁺ is available are divided into three 'tiers' based on linguistic complexity. Western European languages are generally less complex than Eastern European, Scandinavian, and Asian languages, resulting in lower rates.
This classification system provides a clear and transparent link between linguistic complexity, the required service level, and the final price. After we have reviewed your source content for complexity - i.e. service level - and language combination(s), we can prepare a quote for you.
